Partnership Announced
adidas is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Little East Conference in New England which includes UMASS Boston, UMASS Dartmouth, Southern Maine University, Plymouth State College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Western Connecticut State University, Rhode Island College, and Keene State College.
The agreement is a 3 year agreement which includes product to be distributed to championship teams of the conference tournament in their various sports.

The 2008 College Football Coaches Pre-Season Poll was released with four adidas teams in the Top 25. Wisconsin (#12), Kansas (#13) and Tennessee (#18) made the top 25 including adidas' new partner - the University of Michigan - who entered the polls at (#23). In addition, adidas has Pittsburgh, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, UCLA, Louisville and UCF crack the 'Others Receiving Votes' column.

On Friday night, the three stripes will be represented by Southern Methodist University (SMU) as they visit Rice on (ESPN at 8:00pm EST). Sunday, adidas and the Louisville Cardinals will play host to inter-state rival Kentucky (ESPN, 3:30pm EST) and on Monday Night, in prime-time Tennessee travels to the Rose Bowl to battle UCLA (ESPN, 8:00pm EST).

The Lakers made it to the DII Elite Eight round of play where they unfortunately dropped a decision to Winona State. GVSU started the season beating Michigan State in East Lansing in double overtime, 85-82. The Laker's 36-straight wins is a single season school record and is tied for the most wins in a single-season in NCAA DII history.
